About the Risk Assessment for your sports organization
In today’s world- sports organizations can be targets for lawsuits. A risk assessment audit can identify potential risks and exposures- and direct your organization to take steps to minimize said risks.
Expertise and Process: Mikal Duilio with 32 years of relevant experience will perform the assessment by having a meeting with your sports league administrator(s) and your director of officials (the person who assigns the referees). This meeting will be in person – in your city. Part of the in person meeting would be to see your facilities (that you use); likely the meeting will ‘start’ at the facilities. Process: our risk analysis team will operate off of a thorough checklist of ‘all possible – but reasonable’ risks per your sport. A general list of 19 such risks can be seen below. Your sport will likely have these same 19 categories as well- plus perhaps a few more items to be analyzed.
Key findings & recommendations: your sports organization would get a grade for each of the 19 risk possibilities. Anything deemed deficient- will be in report form so that staff can make improvements in certain areas.
Price: after a short discussion by phone, a bid can be given immediately, ranging from $2,000 to $3,500 (depending on size of your sports organization, number of playing venues, etc.)
After the audit: a re-visit is recommended every 3 years; this is due to the nature of different administrators, volunteers who need to be ‘kept’ or ‘redirected’ back to best practices and risk awareness.
